1. Description of the activity |
| |
| GMP-ATIM Technologies is a supplier of the advanced technology industries. The company has been specialized in the manufacturing of little- and medium sized parts. It can manufacture either prototypes or small or medium series from any metal or material. The machined parts can fit in a cube which sides are between 0,5 mm and 500 mm. The mechanical manufacturing relies on high precision machines-tools: CNC turning lathes, CNC machining centers, grinding machines, CNC spark eroders, lapping machines. According to the customers drawings the tolerances field lies between ± 0,5 m to ± 0,1 mm |
Our strength lies in the manufacturing of delicate or high-quality mechanical parts which are made of hard to manufacture material ( titanium, special steels, molybdenum, nickel and nickel-alloys, pure iron, polyethylene, macor, ... etc) and for which high precision machining is required ( our slogan: "sharp edges and free of burrs"). |
| GMP-ATIM Technologies can also produce or build either general engineering parts and units or assemblies which are often made up of the above mentioned mechanical parts. The assemblies in question can be special toolings or can be made of complex parts |

With our manufacturing means we are able to reach a surface roughness on metals of Rz = 0,4 m (Supfinition) ; on plastics such as polyethylen it is common to obtain Rz = 1 ,6 m .
Moreover, controls of surface roughness in a hole with a Ø of 1 mm are current
Our machinery equipment and the skills of our employees allow us for example to achieve fine drillings of Ø = 60 m on a length between 30 and 300 m in steels with a strength of 80 kg/mm².

CNC Milling: up to 500 mm x 500 mm x 500 mm

3. Q uality assurance and Q uality c ontrols . |

The Q uality Assurance System of GMP-ATIM Technologies is conform to the requirements of the standard ISO 9001 resp. EN 29 200. The certificate Nr. 1992/584 was delivered from AFAQ to the company in june 1992 (copy enclosed) for the following activities : |

We have had also an assessment for the AECMA-EASE (“European Aerospace Supplier Evaluation”); it was performed on 25.09.2003 by EADS Space Transportation with a mark of 90 out of 100 |

The implementation of this Quality Assurance System gives a guarantee to the customer for a high quality level as well as a precise traceability from the material’s arrival to the part’s shipment.
Moreover, customer’s specific quality programs are in use to carry out the requirements that apply to a part or an assembly.
The plants are air conditionned and are equipped with a special clean room which temperatur is controlled at 20° C: these rooms are suitable for high precision assembly of mechanical components; it could possibly be used to complete assemblies with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic or optical components
With the present possibilities, GMP-ATIM Technologies can assembly mechanical units up to a size of " 1 m³".
The measuring 3D-MITUTOYO measuring machines (2 machines for the final control and 2 machines directly in the works at our operators’disposal) give the possibility to inspect automatically complex parts with the delivery of a control measuring report. |

4.Surface treatments and heat treatments, marking and packing of parts |
| |
All current surface treatments (oxidizing, chromium plating, zinc plating, lacquering, ...etc), heat treatments (annealing, hardening, ...etc) as well as sand blasting and bright grinding are carried out by external specialized partners with which the company has been working for a long time. GMP-ATIM Technologies take naturally the responsability for the total fulfilment towards the principal. Moreover, these suppliers are regularly audited within the scope of the quality system and in conformity with ISO 9001. |

The marking of the parts can be realised through laser’s marking oder through punching.
The packing can be realised in diverse ways and fit the customers’s specifications: blisterpackung, foam rubber boxes, plastic caps ...etc
When it is a matter of simple welding, the work can be carried out in the workshop; anyway, for more complex welding processes, such as laser welding, the realizations are carried out by external and specialized companies. |

5. Service and flexibility |

GMP-ATIM Technologies works in 3 shifts go round the clock : It allows the company to assure a great flexibility to its customers and competitive prices through a good return of investment of the machines’s costs.
Moreover, this organization gives the possibility to guarantee delivery times to customers and to sign agreements in which times of flexibility or times of reactivity are assured.
There is also the possibility to define with the customer a stocking area for material or semifinished- or finished parts, in order to eventually work "Just-in-time"-delivery |
